ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO) you will be met by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by road to RIVER TREES COUNTRY-IN LODGE, 30-40 minutes’ drive (32km). Enjoy lunch, dinner and overnight stay at RIVER TREES COUTRY-IN LODGE. We love the lodge because of its accessibility, location, good views, warm and caring staff and a guaranteed good service.

DAY 2

After the hearty breakfast at lodge at 08:00 am, drive to Arusha national park for a scenic drive within this magnificent pocket park, enjoy the best views of wildlife, lakes, the fig tree arch, the Ngurdoto Crater and on clear days you may catch a glimpse of Meru mountain, its Ruggy cliff and the snowy peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive, heading to TARANGIRE TREETOPS CAMP
Dinner and overnight stay at TARANGIRE TREETOPS CAMP. DAY 3

After a warm breakfast at Tarangire treetops camp, start a full day game drive within Tarangire national park. A park famously known for its large parades of African tuskers, large mega floras like the baobabs, it hosts tree climbing pythons, poachers hide tree and rich in diversities of both flora, fauna and habitats variation. With lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive then embark to Tarangire treetops camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4

After a warm breakfast at the Tarangire treetops camp drive out of the park with some scenic views en-route and drive to LAKE MANYARA WILDLIFE LODGE for lunch dinner and overnight stay. DAY 5

After a warm breakfast at Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge at around 08:00am do a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a small park with lots of offer, a rugged rift valley wall, underground water forest, diverse habitats, Lake Manyara itself a pink-hued lake dotted with some waders and waterfowls and large animals along the mud flats, the best of it is the Maji Moto Springs situated at the base of the rift valley wall emerging waters with temperature of about 60°C, then run down into the lake. With lunch at picnic site. After lunch do a short game drive, then drive to KARATU with a stopover at RIFT VALLEY VIEW POINT to catch a breathtaking view of the entire Lake Manyara national park and its environments. Proceed to KUDU LODGE for dinner and overnight stay. DAY 6

After a warm breakfast at KUDU lodge at around 08:00 am, drive to NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA, then to Ngorongoro Caldera for a full day game drive with lunch at picnic site. Ngorongoro crater (caldera) is the largest known intact caldera with a 260km2, a bowl like caldera with walls rising above 600m and is a home to over 25000 animals who can be encountered all year round. The crater hosts different species of both flora and fauna, different habitats and its general geography make it worth to set your legs on this land. DAY 7

After a hearty breakfast at KUDU lodge, at around 08:00 am, drive to SERENGETI national park. Serengeti a world heritage site, worldwide wonder, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park famous for its annual great migration of the gnus, breeding and mating rituals, predation scenes from/across the plains to the waters when the savanna clowns plunges into the giant penile Nile crocodiles territories. DAY 9 -10

After a warm breakfast at LODGE at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within the great Serengeti national park, traverse through the plains, woodlands and forests to the very best destinations (sub), experience the taste of being surrounded by thousands to millions of animals, catch their wildly sounds and smells, feel their communication, experience the strategies of communication between species, between conspecifics and many more. DAY 11

After a warm breakfast at the lodge at around 07:00am, start a drive to ARUSHA with a stopover at NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA for a CULTURE TOUR at Maasai Bomas (2hours) Get in touch with the Tanzania's, especially the MAA people, get to learn their origin, movements and assimilation, body morphology, traditional lifestyle, dancing style, food and drinks, ceremonies, social organization, culture and may which will in turn evoke the feelings of being exposed to Africa. With lunch at a picnic site, transfer to Arusha (hotel/KIA) airport to catch a flight for departure.
